August 2, 2006 Duncan Long has illustrated a book cover for Swimming Kangaroo Books titled Lightning Days by Colin Harvey. Duncan said, “I had to create a futuristic city for the back cover and a homo sapiens skull and a Neanderthal skull for the front. I used lightning and a wrap-around sky to tie everything together. The original had a star burst in the sky on the front; the publisher decided to go for a galaxy instead.” |
